June Support the Whip winners

Update from Brad Oien
We've been on the east coast as you may know! First week was in plattekill, New York for the pro GRT #2. It was a cool course and good turnout. Lots of humidity and country folk! I had a good time there and was riding well. Unfortunately come race time I had a small fall which didn't phase me, but then a front flat tire following that. I still pushed hard to the bottom and had a good time considering, and ended up 30th. On the top 50%. So my speed is there.
This last weekend was the U.S Open in Vernon, NJ. A track which I have never been too before. It has always been a big race and a good track. It was a lot to take in on the first day of practice. Tricky rocks and roots and typical east coast lines. Then add in the rain on Fridays practice and it was real fun and sketchy. Then on Saturdays qualifier I had a big crash, and ended waking up in a neck brace in the ambulance. Everything turned out as good as it could be. Just a sprained thumb and a stiff sore body. Really thankful for what it could have been. So that ended my chances for that race. That being said I still have a strong head and positive attitude. I get two weeks at home for training and well deserved rest. Then to Northstar in Tahoe, Ca for pro GRT #3.
